SESSION #1. Introduction and setting up the working environment.

The PrestaRock CEO will introduce the PrestaRock programming academy and the activities we will be doing here. You will learn more about our company, we will get to know each other and set the goals we will work towards together during the sessions.

SESSION #2. Introduction to PrestaShop. Using GIT.

We will get acquainted with PrestaShop: its architecture and how it can be used. We will discuss GIT usage practices and start building our own PrestaShop module.
SESSION #3. PrestaShop module architecture and fundamentals.
LOCATION: ONLINE

We will discuss the architecture of a PrestaShop module and its core knowledge. You will create your first PrestaShop module and extend it with functionality.
SESSION #4. Using PrestaShop HelperList / HelperForm.
LOCATION: PrestaRock office

We will introduce and explain more about what HelperList and HelperForm are. You will extend your module with these capabilities.
SESSION #5. PrestaShop module core presentations
LOCATION: PrestaRock office

Together we will discuss what we achieved in the first meetings, review what the expectations were, and decide on the homework you will be working on.

SESSION #5. CSS fundamentals and basic elements.
LOCATION: ONLINE

We will get acquainted with CSS and apply the new knowledge in practice, talking not only about styles but also about the Bootstrap frontend framework. You will apply your CSS knowledge in practice by extending the PrestaShop module you have created.
SESSION #6. MySQL fundamentals and practice in PrestaShop.

We will review and revisit the fundamentals of MySQL databases. We will perform more advanced database manipulations.
SESSION #7. JavaScript basics.
LOCATION: ONLINE
TIME: 2024-01-10 18:30
We will discuss how we can use JavaScript and try to integrate it into our PrestaShop module.
SESSION #8. CRON tasks. XML basics.
LOCATION: ONLINE
TIME: 2024-01-17 18:30
We will discuss CRON and XML, and you will learn what is most important to know for every beginner programmer.
SESSION #9. PrestaRock programming academy conclusion and final meeting.
LOCATION: PrestaRock office
TIME: 2024-01-24 18:30
Together we will evaluate what we achieved during the academy and share ideas on how each participant should continue to develop.
